| Biography for Virginia Weiler | |
![]() |
Twenty-five years ago Ginny began photographing fine art
and architecture, drawn by her appreciation of art and the opportunity
to travel and live in Europe. Ultimately her love of the land, of wildflowers,
gardens and natural light pulled her away from interpreting other's works
of art to creating her own. And her subject matter became the same flowers,
gardens, landscapes and creatures she has always loved. She continues
to photograph private, public, and historic gardens, creating portfolios
of images for garden owners, for publication and for her own exhibits.
She enjoys capturing the change of seasons within a garden or landscape,
as she has done for Old Salem with The Gardens of Salem, for the
Piedmont Land Conservancy with its recently published Forever These
Lands, and for Moore Farms.
