Moore Farms Spring Garden Open 2008

The family and staff of Moore Farms, Lake City South Carolina, cordially invite you to the 2008 “Garden Open” on Thursday, April 24 from 8:30 until 3:00 or Saturday, April 26 from 8:30 until noon.

This is a private garden open by invitation only to members of professional horticultural societies, garden clubs and other enthusiastic gardeners, and is our way of sharing the beauty and vision of Moore Farms.

This event benefits the Moore Herbarium at the University of South Carolina, and a minimum tax-deductible contribution of $10.00 per person is required. Please send a list of those attending with full names and mailing addresses along with your check made to USC Moore Herbarium to

Driving instructions and a ticket letter will be sent on receipt of your list of names and your check, which must be received not later than April 1, 2008.

There are no arrangements for lunch in the garden, but we will be glad to provide directions to local restaurants.

Stan McKenzie, the regional expert on growing citrus, will be our special guest on Thursday, and on both days Moore Farms horticulturalists and USC Herbarium Botanists will be available to answer your questions.
